Two horses need a special place!November 8, 2011 While Timbit and Freedom have been in our care since the rescue of 14 horses in 2009, we have struggled financially. We were told Timbit was gelded by the owner. Freedom's surgery was done while in our care after the rescue.
Because of Timbit's questionable behaviour, we chose to do some blood work on him and the results are in. We have learned some interesting news today about TimBit ~ we need to share it to help him ... This gelding is NOT a gelding but what is called a cryptorchid. It is very possible that somebody took the one they could see and didn't worry about the one they couldn't. Although there is nothing visible, there is still something up inside AND although he is sterile, he still has testosterone which is why he is acting up with the other stallions and of course the mares who are around. He needs a special surgery which may cost up to $2500 (or more) and to be honest, we cannot afford to do the surgery without your help! BUT we cannot afford to let it go or leave Timbit the way he is. Along with the behaviour issues it is also a health issue. Please visit http://www.omafra.gov.on.ca/en With your help, we can arrange to help Timbit and help him find his forever farm and family. We are still looking for donations of hay, straw, shavings (bedding) and feed and of course a people with huge hearts to give these boys the space and love they deserve!See More
