Finally, winter seems to be here and with it the cold temperatures. Animals (large and small) suffer from the cold - Hypothermia, frostbite, dehydration and worse ... death can happen quickly when temperatures dip. There are other hazards that come with the cold weather, such as antifreeze and deicer toxicity.
Even that daily walk can be hazardous to your pets health as his/her paws touch the i...
ce and salt used on the sidewalks.
Animals also need a constant flow of drinking water, this can be difficult in the freezing cold and may mean many trips to the water tap or purchasing a heated water bowl.
Keep your pets safe from winter hazards, talk to your veterinarian to promote the best winter exercise program and keep them protected from the elements.
If you are shivering even though you are bundled up ~ so is your pet in his/her fur coat! Remember, he isn't wearing boots, gloves or a hat to keep warm
