Volunteers work round the clock to provide a comfortable and healthy environment for all animals in care, whether their stay is at the shelter or in foster care. The goal is to prepare every animal for adoption into a loving and forever home. There are no paid positions in Simcoe and District Humane Society and the Society relies on volunteers to raise funds, answer phones, work with the animals, and deal with the public. If you are interested in helping the animals please visit our volunteer page or the information on fostering if you have time or space. The Society relies strictly on fundraising efforts and donations from the community, not contracted or paid by any level of government or organization to do the work in the County. Your donation is greatly appreciated and will help SDHS continue helping the animals. All volunteers look forward to helping each animal find its forever family and will gladly introduce you to animals ready for adoption. If you would like more information on adoption, volunteering or donating to the Society please contact us by email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . During our very busy days, email is the best way to contact every volunteer. You may also visit our contact us page for more information. We thank you for your continued support and look forward to meeting you at our next event or at the shelter!
